“We want every young athlete in Punjab to feel seen, supported, and inspired,” she said during a recent briefing. “Our goal is not just to discover talent, but to build a sustainable system that keeps our sports ecosystem strong and equitable.”

Beyond discovering athletic talent, the plan includes a broader institutional revamp. The Sports Department has been instructed to strive for financial autonomy and to streamline internal operations—starting with ensuring timely salary payments to employees.
