LAHORE: In light of the upcoming Pakistan Super League Season 10 (PSL X), the Punjab Education Department has officially revised school timings in key areas of Lahore to minimize traffic disruption around match venues.
As per the announcement, schools located near Gaddafi Stadium and other nearby zones including Gulberg, Model Town, Ferozepur Road, Shadman, Canal Road, Upper Mall, and Zahoor Elahi Road will follow a new operational schedule. Starting from April 24 and continuing through May 18, these schools will now run from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, aligning with the high-traffic windows surrounding the cricket matches.
This change comes in response to anticipated traffic surges during match days, especially with all Lahore-based PSL fixtures being day-night encounters kicking off at 7:00 PM. The early dismissal aims to ensure students and parents can avoid potential gridlocks and maintain smoother commuting routes.

The PSL X season officially kicks off on April 11, with matches spread across Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The grand finale is scheduled for May 18 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, marking the climax of a thrilling 34-match season over 37 days.
Meanwhile, cricket enthusiasts can now secure their match tickets online, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has opened digital ticket sales. Additionally, physical tickets will be available at designated TCS express centres starting Monday, April 7 at 4 PM. Online ticket buyers have the option of collecting their passes from specific TCS pick-up points or opting for home delivery.
Adding more excitement to the fan experience, PCB has introduced a match-day ticket raffle offering fabulous rewards including motorcycles, smartphones, and exclusive gift hampers. Details on participation and prize draws are expected to be released soon.
These measures reflect PCB’s ongoing efforts to elevate the PSL fan experience while ensuring that city operations like school commutes remain smooth during the tournament period.
